Guild Loom Projects

Guild Announcements:

Sep 7th is the 1st Drop-in of the 2017-18 season for more spinning, weaving, knitting, felting and other fibre arts! The 2017 full schedule is below on the left side.

I am seriously behind on the Blog posts but I will catch up over time. I took the summer off and caught up on my home projects, visitors, one trip and some relaxation time.

The Posts are published by calendar date of the event. Our members have so much to show at our Monthly Meetings, sometimes only one post displays on the page. Find more posts by visiting the Archives to the right or Older Posts at the end of each post. Enjoy and thank you for visiting!

Dec Christmas Pot Luck and Show n Tell

Before our wonderful pot luck Christmas luncheon, we had Show N Tell. I didn't get many photos as the battery on my camera died half way through :( and there were many reports of items already sent away as gifts. The photo opportunities I missed were:
Barb L's exquisite colonial overshots, handspun & dyed cotton vest
Hélène's matching knitted pink ballet jackets for her granddaughters

  Michelle's woven scarves
  Marianne H's loom
  Marie's therapy knitting- scarf
  Diane's socks

  Raelene's baby leg warmer
  Joyce's fingerless gloves

MaryAnna's 12 harness baroque sampler and
Jen's goat puppet from Switzerland - it was so cute and so appropriate since
            she raises goats
Beautiful work, All of you!

Greta's custom doggy sweater and her scrappy knits
Greta modelling her scrappy knit
arm/hand warmers
Karen showing her treasures from Cusco, Peru - a beautiful 4 harness woven wool (Llama?) cloth and her baby alpaca poncho woven on a 2 harness loom

Her poncho can be worn many ways. I was stunned that this was woven on 2 harnesses!

Nancy's knitted hats - adult work hat on the left and child's hat
on the right
Nell's 12 Harness Baroque Overshot Sampler

Nell's felted Tea Cozies with her Baroque sampler and tea towels in 2/8 and 4/8 cottolin

Randie's Twill tea Towels
